Federal Credit Union Partnership
In 2004, Focus Federal
Credit Union in Toledo contacted the Ohio CASA/GAL Association to assist
them in expanding their membership field, but more importantly, to help
a worthy cause. If a potential credit union member can not qualify by
employment or by where they live, the federal credit union has options
to increase their fields of membership to include non-profit
organizations. By adding the Ohio CASA/GAL Association to their federal
credit union membership options, potential members can join Ohio CASA
for $15. This one time membership fee is of great benefit to the
individual who would not otherwise qualify for credit union membership,
is consistently adding 10 new members a month to Focus’ membership base,
and helps Ohio CASA with money that can be used to train CASA volunteers
to advocate for the best interests of Ohio children who are the victims
of abuse, neglect and dependency.
