Ohio Revised Code Section 2151.282, it is my
honor to present the Court Appointed Special
Advocate/Guardian ad Litem Study Committee’s
report. Copies of the full report were
delivered to Governor Ted Strickland, Speaker of
the House Jon Husted, President of the Senate
Bill Harris and are available here.
The report
includes information requested in the statute:
data with regard to the provision of guardian ad
litem services to Ohio’s abused and neglected
children in the court system, and analysis of
the cost and services provided by guardians ad
litem.
Thank you for
the opportunity to share our findings. We are
confident the report will provide a foundation
for further discussion on the improvement of
guardian ad litem services.
