Every Child

Thank you for helping make a difference for Every Child

At Ohio CASA, we believe that every child should have a safe, permanent, and loving home. And, we believe
that every child in need should have a CASA Volunteer.

CASA Volunteers advocate for the best interest of children who have experienced abuse and neglect, most
of which are in foster care. They get to know the child and their family, and make recommendations to the
court regarding services and placement to help families remain strong. More than 50 counties in Ohio have
CASA programs, and each year we add more to our network of advocates.

We’d like to share more about the faces of our campaign:

Cheyenne, Bill, and Jeff are CASA Volunteers currently serving children in Franklin, Delaware, and Union
Counties. Together, they have 12 years of service, and have completed more than 40 cases helping youth
and young adults in the child welfare system.

Andre is a social worker-turned CASA Volunteer-turned CASA of Franklin County team member. He sees all
youth on his cases as smart, passionate, and resilient.

Jamole and Juliana are foster care alumni who emancipated or aged out of the foster care system. Both
share valuable feedback and input regarding their experience — Jamole was not appointed a CASA
Volunteer when he entered care, but feels having one would have helped his voice get heard. Juliana
entered care and did have a volunteer for a year prior to turning 18; when she often felt like a burden going
through the system, Ruth, her volunteer, made her feel “like a human” and was always there to listen. Jamole
and Juliana are both currently involved in helping youth in care — from training foster parents, to serving on
the Ohio Governor’s Children’s Services Transformation Advisory Council, to participating in the OHIO Youth
Advisory Board.

How you can help Every Child

Studies show that children with CASA Volunteers are less likely to return to foster care, and more likely to
receive supportive services. You can help support programs across Ohio by:

– Following us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and sharing our campaign throughout National Foster
Care Month.

Make a donation, or renew your specialty CASA license plate to show your support year-round.

Complete an interest form if you would like to learn more about becoming a volunteer.

100% of proceeds directly support our volunteers and the children we serve. Thank you for being an
advocate for the safety and permanency of Every Child.
